END-TO-END PROJECT LEADERSHIP

I directed the launch of a new technology product division, Intentek Wireless Surfaces. This included:


  • Leading the strategic and commercialization direction, developing entirely new internal processes and a completely new business strategy

  • Overseeing and managing every aspect of the business, including manufacturing, supply, research & development, legal, and sales & marketing


The Intentek line successfully launched in late 2019, surpassing its launch goals and receiving several industry awards, including:

1. Design:Retail 2020 Spectrum Award

2. Architectural Record Best Surfacing Product

3. BUILDINGS Grand Prize for Product Innovation

WARRANTY & REPAIR

  • Set new warranty policy

  • Hired and trained 3rd party technicians for in-field repair

  • Conducted Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and identified 13 potential technology failures and documented the solution path for each

  • Recorded process and trained customer service on handling customer concerns

VISUAL STREAM MAPPING

  • Involved entire cross-functional team - of about 30 people - in visual stream mapping exercise to plot steps from initial customer interest through to shipping and post-sale problem resolution

  • New software program was built to handle ordering process steps

  • Documented process from start to finish and trained 12 departmental leads

FABRICATION PARTNERSHIPS

  • Optimized product fabrication techniques through dozens of on-site trials

  • Built thirteen exclusive fabrication partnerships across the US

  • Provided partners training and selling materials to team sell this product line

  • Established new partnership with third party supplier for accessory products who would sell the accessories at excellent market rate and and fast ship time

MARKETING & SALES STRATEGY

  • Directed development of website, Public Relations (PR), search engine (SEO/SEM), case studies

  • Built and trained new team, including several in sales.  All made their targets during the time period.  Selling to customers such as Heine Brothers Coffee, University of Louisville, Proctor & Gamble, and University of Washington.

  • Set sales targets and tracked progress of over 100 in-progress customers in Salesforce.com

  • Led legal and technical team in the development of use & care, safety, and installation guide

  • Developed extensive FAQ reference used for training and as a resource on website

PRODUCT TRIALS

  • To trial entire workflow stream (including use of IT system, manufacturing process and shipping), established several test customer relationships including University of Cincinnati, Friendship Brewery, Stir Event Center, Disney, Popeye's, etc.
